Successful completion of all courses in each section is required for promotion to the next level. Successful completion of the Orientation course is recommended but not required.

CPS Egypt - Courses

The program is comprised of four modules: Orientation to Canadian Health Care System, Culture and Context, Canadian Pharmacy Skills (CPS) 1, CPS 2 and CPS 3.  Students gain critical language, workplace and practice skills necessary for licensure in Canada. Learning outcomes remain consistent with those of the program offered in Toronto.

Canadian Pharmacy Skills 3*
(6 weeks, plus 1 week of exams - includes 2 weeks self directed learning)

This module, offered in Toronto, is specifically designed to provide students with an opportunity to advance their patient counselling skills and integrate advanced communications techniques with clinical knowledge. Students practice “Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE)” type role play scenarios.  Further, this module provides students with the “finishing” concepts of all courses taken to this point and is designed to simulate time-pressured pharmacy practice. Students will be expected to complete a Canadian Practical Experience Component.

Program Fees (all funds are in Canadian Dollars):
CPS 3 = $250 application fee (non-refundable) made payable to the University of Toronto, $4000 course fee made payable to University of Toronto. Please forward application, and all fees to University to Toronto.

Program fees are for courses only. Fees do not include costs of textbooks, supplies, personal expenses etc.

 *Note –CPS 3 is conducted at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto, Canada. Qualified candidates must start CPS 3 within 6 (six) months of completing CPS 2.  Every effort will be made to find a mentor for students in order to complete the Canadian Practical Experience component of the program however it is ultimately the responsibility of the student to find a mentor.
